A family photo shoot with me is a laid-back experience that’s all about real interaction and time spent together rather than picture-perfect poses. The focus is on how it feels to be together as a family, not on creating something staged just for the camera.
Children don’t need to perform for the camera. They can play, explore, or change their mind halfway through. I follow their pace and give them space, knowing that trust and comfort are what lead to photographs that feel honest.
I photograph not only local Austrian families, but also expats who have made Vienna their home, visiting relatives, and travellers booking me as their vacation photographer. We can meet outdoors for a photo walk, in nature, at a playground, or at a place that holds special meaning for you. I also photograph families in the comfort of their homes, where everything feels slower and more personal. In-home sessions are often requested by families with newborns and young children, especially during the colder winter months.
Every session comes with a private online gallery that includes a collection of your photographs. Once you receive your gallery, you can decide if you’d like just a few favorites or love the images so much that you want them all. All selected photographs are carefully edited and delivered digitally in both high resolution and web size. Your gallery will remain available for three months, giving you plenty of time to browse, download and share your photographs with family and friends.

A standard family session includes up to two adults and all their children. Each additional person joining the photo shoot is € 50. If you’d like to invite grandparents, grown-up siblings, aunts, cousins or even friends, consider booking an extended family session.
I simply spend time with you and your children and photograph what unfolds. At home, on a walk, at the playground, at a museum, or anywhere you enjoy being together.

Grandparents, grown-up siblings, cousins and all the different generations. We’ll photograph the whole family as well as smaller groups, while keeping the session relaxed and fun.

A photography voucher is a simple way to give someone time together and photographs that only grow in value over time. Vouchers are available for all my sessions in an amount of your choice.

Before you book your family photo shoot with me, there are a few questions you might like to have answered.
Have a look at the images here or browse my Instagram feed. That will give you a good idea of the kind of photography I offer and my editing style. If you love what you see and you know you want honest and unstaged photographs that capture your family as it truly is, we could be a good fit. If you’re looking for mostly posed family photographs where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling, I’m not the right photographer for you.
They don’t have to. I won’t rush them or expect them to interact with me. They can run, jump, climb, explore, be loud or hide in your arms. They don’t come to the photo shoot to sit still and smile at the camera, but to have fun and enjoy time with their parents. Every child is different, and I follow their pace.
Wear something you feel comfortable and that feels like you. You don’t need matching outfits or new clothes especially for the photo shoot. Choose tones that work well together rather than dressing everyone in the same colours. If possible, avoid large logos or very busy patterns that can distract in photographs. Think about the location and the weather too. Especially with children, being comfortable is much more important than looking perfect. Once we’ve decided where and when we’ll meet, I’m always happy to help with clothing choices. If you’re unsure, you can simply send me a few options and we can decide together.
We’ll choose the location together. It can be somewhere you already like to go together, or I can suggest places in Vienna depending on the season, your children’s ages and the kind of setting you prefer. I know plenty of locations that work beautifully for family photo shoots, from quiet green spaces to more urban parts of the city. I don’t have a studio, but an in-home family session is always an option too. Especially with younger children, being in their own familiar environment can make the family photo shoot feel even more relaxed, while also capturing a little of your everyday life at home.
If there’s no sun on the day of your session, don’t panic. Cloudy weather is absolutely fine for a photo shoot and, if anything, it often gives us beautiful, soft light. Fog or cold temperatures on autumn and winter days are not a reason to cancel either. Bad weather means heavy rain, heavy snowfall, storms or other conditions that would make the session uncomfortable or unsafe. In such cases, we can either change the location or reschedule. Anyway, we’ll keep an eye on the forecast and make the final decision as close to the session as possible.
The online gallery with your family photographs will be ready within two weeks. Once you receive it, you can take your time to choose your preferred package and either select your favorite images or purchase the complete collection. If you’re in a hurry, express delivery within two working days is available for €100.
No. Editing is an important part of my photography, so I only deliver finished photographs that reflect the style you see throughout my portfolio. RAW files and unedited photographs are not included in any of my packages.
I’m always grateful when clients allow me to share some of their photographs on my website or social media, as showing my work is actually how future clients find me. But I completely respect your privacy if you prefer to keep your family photographs to yourselves. No photographs will ever be published without your prior consent.
