I’m a Czech expat who has called Vienna home for more than ten years. As a mother of two little wild ones, my everyday reality is noisy, unpredictable, and wonderfully real. Somewhere between the morning chaos, the quiet pauses, and an ongoing search for good coffee, I learned to notice the moments that matter – the unpolished ones that slip by so easily. That awareness is at the heart of my photography.
After my second child was born, I once wrote in my diary that I wished I could keep all those little memories in jars, so I could open them years later and taste them again. Back then, I didn’t know how. Today I know that, for me, photography is exactly that.
I value spontaneity and improvisation, both in everyday life and in my photography. My Hochzeitsfotografie is candid and focused on capturing not just the biggest highlights everyone wants to have documented, but also the fleeting yet precious moments that you might not even realize happened. There are no “must-haves’. No need to do group photos. No need to do long couple shooting after the ceremony. Enjoy your time with family and friends and I will take care of the rest.
Family sessions and photo walks with me follow no script. They’re documentary-style and relaxed, focusing on your interactions with those you love. This approach works especially well for introverts, camera-shy people and parents with energetic kids.
As a mother myself, I understand that building trust with kids means giving them space to be themselves, respecting their boundaries, and listening to their ideas. Only by doing so can I capture authentic and genuine photographs that truly show their personality. Photographs that not only show how you looked, but more importantly, how it all felt.
For children, the session often feels like a fun time with their parents filled with little games, cuddles, and shared laughter. They’re always welcome to bring their favourite toys, which not only helps them feel at ease but also adds a lovely, personal touch to the story we’re telling.
A newborn photo shoot with me is a gentle, baby-led experience that takes place in the comfort of your own home. I visit you as a calm and discreet newborn photographer, with my highest priority being not to disturb the bonding with your baby in any way. During the newborn photo shoot, I never take your baby away from you or touch them. Your little treasure stays in their bed or your arms the entire time. They can sleep, be (breast)fed, changed, or cuddled as much as they like. There’s never any rush.

Even with many years of experience as a wedding and family photographer, I never see myself as the person who knows everything best. I bring my experience, but the people in front of my camera know themselves and each other better than I ever could. Before every session, I talk openly about the fact that authentic photographs are something we create together. The magic of unposed photographs comes from genuinely enjoying the time you spend together in front of the camera, not simply standing next to each other, but actually being with each other.
I believe photographing people has a lot to do with psychology. People need to feel safe before they can really be themselves. I’m quite introverted myself, so I understand very well that not everyone enjoys being in front of a camera. Maybe that’s exactly what helps.
I don’t take myself too seriously, and I try to stay natural and approach people without expectations. If I can be myself, they can be themselves too. Camera-shy people in particular don’t need pressure, they need a relaxed atmosphere. That’s why I’m also very honest about the fact that the first few minutes can sometimes feel a little unfamiliar. Once people know that this is completely normal, the feeling almost always disappears quickly. By the end, people often tell me they actually had a lot of fun during the session.
